The Path to "Jeans Reflections"

Before "Jean’s Reflections" came into being, I had begun writing a book called Becoming Myself: A Journey of Rediscovery. At the time, I did not realise just how much life was about to change.

During a period filled with waiting, diagnosis, treatment, and deep personal reflection, I found myself looking back over many of the experiences, lessons, and inner shifts that had quietly shaped my life over the years.

What began as the idea of writing a book slowly evolved into something far more personal and present.

Many of the themes from that original writing remain deeply important to me — self-awareness, values, intuition, colour, dreams, creativity, letting go, and understanding myself more honestly.

What I wrote was not just about where I’ve been—it’s about how I found my way back to myself.

It’s for those who feel there’s more beneath the surface of their own story, even if they can’t quite name what that “more” is yet.

Different questions began to echo through my life, one in particular was like an invitation that gently guided me inward, leading me back to parts of myself I had long overlooked or forgotten.

Answering my questions wasn’t about reinventing myself—it was about remembering who I already was. It required reflection, honesty, and the courage to listen closely. I began exploring what truly moved me—not just what I was good at, or what others expected, but what felt meaningful.

In that process, I started to recognise the core parts of myself—my strengths, my vulnerabilities, and the values that matter most. I came to see that when I was disconnected from those values, it quietly shaped the choices I made, the relationships I held onto, and how I saw myself.

As I went deeper, harder questions surfaced.

One step at a time I uncovered answers—unexpected, and deeply real. I realised that while I was surviving, I wasn’t always fully myself. I wanted more than survival. I wanted wholeness.

What I wrote last year has now been adapted to naturally fit “Jean’s Reflections”.

"It’s not always easy to know exactly who you are or what you want—but when you do, let that truth guide everything.
